Friday 27th January – walks **** Landguard for sunrise and sunset and first prom walk with Maeva – sunny periods.

With Jay and Maeva coming in the morning I decided to get up early and drive down to Landguard Nature Reserve to catch the sunrise. Arriving at 7.15 it did not look very promising being pretty cloudy out to sea but I set off over the small hills and was treated to a rare sight as wave after wave of birds were flying out to sea, I thought they were geese but turned out to be cormorants, I have never seen so many! I walked across the reserve talking a few pics arriving at the end by the old jetty at 7.50 with just a hint of sun on the horizon and with the tide very low there was some lovely golden colours in the sand. I climbed through the jetty and the views were even better this side and I got some lovely photos, I even had a container ship come in just at the right time:) It lasted around ten minutes before the sun disappeared into the cloud as I walked back for breakfast the new Granddaughter Maeva here with Jay, we had a visit from the Heath Visitor followed by a walk to Felixstowe town centre followed by Maeve’s first walk along the prom even if she was fast asleep! Dan then came for a quick cuddle before heading back to work, Mag even got to bath Maeva, then at 4.10 I decided to have a quick drive down to Felixstowe dock view point to see the sunset, making it just in time to get some lovely pics again, a top day for photos:) I quickly set some into the local weather and got on BBC’s Look East :)
